I believe Christmas is a Pagan festival, and I have done extensive research on the subject to make it clear in my mind. Yet, every year, I see billions of people celebrating this festival without ever questioning it's roots. Witnessing this deception year after year finally got to me, so I decided to come up with a new song that truly celebrates the birth of the Messiah. Some of my friends said I was trying to write a new Christmas song but, I told them it had nothing to do with THAT festival. It doesn't even sound like a Christmas song! The title is Your Gift.
I've performed this song for hundreds of people, all of whom said they loved it. I submit it now for your approval:
Your Gift
Your Gift lifts my spirit;
Jesus, Son of God.
Savior of the nations,
Holy child filled with Love.
Blessed is the one
who receives Your Gift.
I know he'll never be the same.
Showering Your Joy
deep within the heart,
may he always praise Your Name...
Your Name!
Your Son, precious Jesus...
humbled to -lowly birth!
Mercy for your children;
Heaven's King come to Earth.
Blessed is the one
who receives Your Gift.
I know he'll never be the same.
Showering Your Joy
deep within the heart,
may he always praise Your Name...
Your Name!
Redeemer, You have given up
Your only Son...
who would come to set us free.
Life eternal now is ours;
the battle has been won...
thank You, Lord! Thank You, Lord...
for showing us a Love beyond degree.
