My Search Funds, which has now been renamed as My Homepages Friends, is run by a registered British company, in association with Yahoo. I think this makes it quite different from other paying sites. I believe it is still in its early days and will grow and continue for a long time. It does pay in British pounds, but international members can convert their earnings into dollars, or any other currency, in their PayPal account, before withdrawal to a bank account.

I joined My Search Funds in January and I reached payout by the end of March. It clearly states in the terms that payment is made fortyfive days after the end of the month in which minimum payout is reached, and in May I received my payment for the period up to the end of March.

It really is a web search service which allows you to earn money just for searching the internet. You can add a search page to your cell phone and you can search from any mobile device and from any computer. You can sign up your friends and make additional money from your referrals. It does help to have some active referrals, but you do have to reach minimum payout from your own searches before you get paid. I am not a big promoter. I think of my referral income as a nice little bonus.

The easiest way to use the search box is to set the search page as your homepage. On the website you will also find easy instructions to make it your default live search. You don't have to download anything, just use your own personal search box and you can earn money for all your usual searches.

I normally do around ten searches a day, but it can vary from between one and twenty, or more, depending on my daily activities. I just use it for finding information with genuine searches. I would be doing this anyway, so I may as well get paid to do it.

You do need to take care how you search the internet, as some people have had their accounts closed because they tried to cheat the system. This is known as 'click fraud'. When anyone tries to make false searches, just to earn more, those searches are disallowed. Repeat searches and searching too quickly may also result in some searches being disallowed.

Things are changing at the website, and new revenue-generating activities are being introduced, such as shopping, email, gadgets and blog. I think it will be quicker to reach payout with new money making opportunities being added to the search service.
