in the dark
here
in the dark
there is the voice of
your heart, that speaks
with no words i have heard
it feels succulent.
plump with water, a flower.
It speaks in showers.
here
in the dark
a car zooms outside
zipping thousands of miles
into none, the rules that
house our lives, all
the how to's and whys
melt deeply, sticky,
a mirage, just honey
not blood.
here
in the dark
i am dying, the sheets
bled with shadows, with lies,
are somehow still white,
I am in it, wrapped
same as the secret
I have learned how
to hide
here
in the dark
i will meet you, and
this time we shall skip
that part, your wounding art,
and i will be calm, pressed
firm in your palm
where I am
welcome
there
in your dark
where I
am your someone.

I pull my skeletons from their closet
to count them
sorting them like laundry
