What make bad Father's Day gift ideas? Do we really have bad Father's Day gift ideas when things given from the heart are meant to be good - intention-wise, in the least!
Let us now consider what constitute good Father's Day gift ideas. Good Father's Day gift ideas must center around the receiver, the father of the givers. The gifts must reflect all the goodness of fatherhood found in the receiver. Anything contrary to that spells a really bad gift idea for bad fathers.
To make the day a really bad one, consider the following - if you dare or if you really hate the man in your life! Perhaps you may not even realize that you are committing the crimes below! Pause for a while to consider the items you have in mind as gifts, and look at them through the eyes of the recipient for a change. It may well turn out to be a great reality check on the intent as well as the suitability of your gift ideas!
1. Give him something he loathes:
What constitutes a bad gift idea? First, consider his likes and dislikes. By giving him something he does not like - that is already a good start to a bad gift.
~ If he likes to don tee-shirts twenty-four hours a day, giving him a shirt may give him the idea that you trying to change his self image. If he is humorous, he may ask if you are getting married soon! Better still, give him a really solemn tie or cuff links without the shirt or the coat to go along with. If he is a really bad father, he will do well to save them for his own father's big day!
~ Bring him to a restaurant that he does not favor and order anything except what the 'guest of honor' likes. First, make sure you ask what he would like to eat when you arrive at the restaurant and apologize that you could only afford to spend at that restaurant although you would have preferred a more lavish alternative.
2. Bruise his ego:
Next, consider ego-bruising. Hurting a man's ego is probably worse than hitting him below the belt.
~ Remind him of past failures. For example, get him tickets to the university basketball match of his alma mata that he did not win but wanted to years ago.
~ Get him a surprise date with an old flame who has become his most hated's wife. Your mother must of course be a most willing partner in crime! Perhaps get her a surprise date with his most hated on the same night.
~ Make fun of his proud moments. Your father may have been the greatest American football player in his hey days. Have him carbonized in the sleaziest suit and performing a touch-down.
3. Attack his
