Poetry: Pretending

by MK Bashlor

Created on: June 10, 2008   Last Updated: June 15, 2008

Your life
A whirlwind
I hate.
Its hard not to
Despise you too.
I wonder
Are you a victim,
Or devious controller,
Of your life,
And mine?
I tell you truth
Time and time again.
You won't hear.
You don't listen!
Can this be okay,
As you pretend?
You speak as one
Who loves,
But I can sense
All your hatred,
Which you
Refuse to admit;
As the truth itself.
Your life, your choice-
A lie you devise;
I despise.
