To answer the question, 'Who is God?' the following questions should be addressed.
If God is outside of ordinary human experience, how is it that we are able to know of His existence, and how are we able to relate to Him at all?
A likely answers is that throughout humanity's existence there has always been a need to believe in something greater than ourselves to explain the unexplainable...to eliminate fear. This necessary something had to be God, "that than which a greater being could not be conceived" as defined by Saint Anselm, the monk who lived around the year 1100 A.D. Along with Saint Anslem, all the philosophers from Socrates to Immanuel Kant have basically agreed that the nature of man necessitates a belief in a supreme being who somehow is responsible for the existence of the universe and the world; and although this belief cannot be substantiated with factual proof, it can be and is accepted as necessary truth and rational concepts. These rational truths and rational concepts can be viewed as the basis for man's/woman's moral code; that which motivates man/woman to adhere to promptings of his/her soul and conscience to do good (which seems to be an established fact of human nature).
Along with the necessary belief in God from the innate needs of our human nature or soul, there is the belief in God, taught by and nurtured by God's chosen manifestations of Himself. These manifestations of God reflect the attributes and qualities we innately know of God in the most perfect way; therefore we accept their teachings as valid and true.
Turn your faces toward God
as you were created to do.
Obeying His Divine call
is eternal life for you.
God necessarily exists, we innately know it and the proof of His existence is continuously testified to by the Holy Manifestations of Himself, who are also called prophets, of whom were Moses, Christ, Buddha, Muhammad, and Baha'ullah.
God is the unknowable spiritual essence, the creator of the universe, earth, and the heavens, the Supreme Ruler, the Heavenly Father who necessarily exists to explain the unexplainable, the natural and supernatural phenomenon and the existence and purpose of human beings. Who throughout humanity's existence has been the essential cultural and religious foundations of many great civilizations and who the diverse peoples of the world have believed in and proclaimed in many beautiful literary masterpieces, art-forms, and sacred oral tradition.
God is the absolute reality, the one Creator of all and through a 'Leap of Faith' His creatures perceive and acknowledge their Creator.
