Choosing between Randy Moss and Terrell Owens is similar to choosing between a great player and a supreme talent. Great players come along every so often, but supreme talents are few and far between. Randy Moss is considered to be a supreme talent.

Both wide-outs are playmakers and game-changers capable of determining the outcome of a football game. If you examine each receiver's strengths you would notice that T.O. is more physical, tougher, a better blocker, more daring over the middle, and more emotional. But see, they aren't ultimate fighters, they are wide receivers and Randy Moss has strengths that winning franchises would want in their wide receiver. Moss is athletic, has more speed, better hands, more leaping ability, more poise, and is a better deep threat downfield. Give me Moss's skillset over Terrell's skillset any day for a wide-out.

Both players were lucky enough to be mentored by hall of fame receivers such as Jerry Rice and Cris Carter. However, Owens has had the luxury of better quarterbacks throughout his career like Jeff Garcia, Donovan McNabb, and now Tony Romo. Moss has had QBs like Daunte Culpepper, Aaron Brooks, Andrew Walter, and now finally a solid QB in Tom Brady and look at what happened when Moss finally got his gunslinger. In only one year with Brady he surpassed the all-time receiving TD record with 23 touchdown receptions, eclipsing the previous record held by the great Jerry Rice.

Randy Moss has averaged more touchdowns, yards, and receptions per year than Terrell Owens over their careers. Also Moss is 3 years younger than Owens and only has 5 fewer TDs in 2 fewer seasons. I'm pretty sure Moss could make up 5 TDs in 2 seasons. He could get 5 TDs in 2 games with Brady as his QB! Also in T.O's career he has only played a full 16 game season one time in his entire career. Moss has had six seasons with 16 full games played showing he is more durable and less injury prone than Owens.

Moss has displayed the utmost level of maturity after becoming a Patriot and he has really shown people what he is truly capable of by helping New England to a 16-0 undefeated regular season record and a Superbowl appearance. Between Moss's Patriots and Owen's Cowboys I will put my money on Moss and the Patriots to have the most Superbowl rings when it is all said and done. If that happens, then it would be officially stamped that Moss is the superior of the two. It is already official right now, but it would be STAMPED if Moss got a championship ring or two.

This is a very fair comparison as now they both have elite teams that are both considered championship contenders, so only time will tell who will have the most undisputed legacy. I will take Moss all the way in this one.
