Barack Obama: Christian or radical liberal?

Barack Obama cut his political teeth in Chicago politics in the company of left wing radicals like Bill Ayers, Ali Abunimah and Rashid Khalidi. Obama recently removed his membership from a radical church founded by Jeremiah Wright that is built on James H Cones philosophy of black theology. Wright's church does not teach the gospel Christ in a traditional way, it teaches social equality.

Not long ago, Father Michael Pfleger, a white Catholic priest and friend of Jeremiah Wright, suggested that whites should give up their 401Ks to make up for sins your white ancestors committed against black people.

Christian doctrine states that Christ's kingdom was not of this world and that Christ is the reconciliation between God and man. Christian belief is that God is Spirit and spirits do not have a color.

Here is what James H Cone says in his writings:

"Black Theology and Black Power (1969). Here Cone developed the thesis that Black Power is "Christ's central message to twentieth century America," that Black Power means "complete emancipation of Black people from white oppression by whatever means Black people deem necessary," and that "Whether whites want to hear it or not, Christ is Black, baby, with all the features which are so detestable to white society."

Cross Currents in 1977: "I think that the time has come for black theologians and church people to move beyond a mere reaction to white racism in America and begin to extend our vision of a new socially constructed humanity in the whole inhabited world. For humanity is whole, and cannot be isolated into racial and national groups." [http://www.answers.com/topic/james-cone]

Cone appears to have grown in his theological philosophy but it's still a socialist theology. Wright and Pfleger, on the other hand, seem to cling to the black power philosophy that rejects a god that is not on the side of black people. Barack Obama sat under this teaching for twenty years and he would have to be blind and mindless to be ignorant of the church philosophy.

Obama's early church teachings are written of in his books, and his early associations with left wing radicals and the New Party, a socialist party, suggests strongly that he bought the radical message fully.

In addition to his radical friends and socialist based church, Obama is associated with the New Party, a socialist group that Obama joined early in his Chicago days.

"The New Party was designed as a loose confederation of unions, socialists, communists, and black activists
