river of pain
Two hearts practically one
Glide through the forest
Filled with love, trust, and family
This moment of happiness
Ingrained in my thoughts
To such dismay there is a turn
And we glide around
Only to discover a drop
Can't breathe, can't think
We hit the water with a jolt
As he glides ahead of me
I struggle to catch up
My heart feels as though
It's about to burst
He slips further away
I get to the edge
Climb onto the bank
Sit and sob till the river is dry
My heart returns to normal
My eyes go dry
I stand and start walking alone

start again anew
would your ring be on my finger
Would I still be loving you
