Poetry: Time

by John Browne Ayes

Created on: December 28, 2006   Last Updated: May 14, 2007

It all depends
On how you like to fly.
Keeping your head
In the clouds
Or your heart
Grounded in the earth.

Oh how I wish
For no more death speak
For peace o'er the world
How I wish you were here
Free from tears
Free from the lies
Spoken year after year.

Rising above the wheel
Unchained from illusion
With your soul on the loose.
Knowing - growing
Revolving - solving
Humbly evolving.

Ninety degree turn
Away from it all
Frees you from the fall.
What else can I say?
'Cept its all in your DNA
For finding your own way.

Because time
Is like a river flowing back to you.
