Such urgency in the alarm clock cry
I rose in desparate haste
Showered, dressed, set course to fly
Into the hours I was yet to face
My desk, phone ringing, coffee gulped
Reports, needs met till lunch
A salad athestically sculpted
Then back for the afternoon crunch
The gym at five, the sauna too full
At home, pasta from a can
Queen Weariness begins her pull
To the sheets where it all began

A bout of shining sun
Playing peek-a-boo
