and survive all strife and every demise. Still, the greatest of all is the truth that forgiveness gives us the power to change, rearrange and heal our bodies, minds and life. The reason they say, "God works in mysterious ways," is due to the truth that God leaves a blessing in disguise behind every demise.

3. Gratitude is the key to forgiving anyone or anything.

Oprah said it best. "The more grateful you are, the more you'll find to be grateful for." It's true, but I had no clue that I could find an attitude of gratitude in my bitter mind until I learned another true fact about life. "What we resist will persist," which leads me to the next true fact about life.

4. The more we resist forgiveness, the more forgiveness we'll need to find.

How simple it seems today, but I tend to learn things the hard way. I kept trying to justify the bitterness in my mind by re-hashing the past by focusing my mind on the bad person, thing or happening all the time. The bitterness began to stew and brewed into a deadly disease that might have cost my life if I hadn't finally seen the light, which leads to truth number five.

5. Anger, resentment and bitterness are toxic to our body and mind.

Bitterness is a poison we take as we expectantly wait for the other guy to die. That's why holding onto bitterness makes no sense and can do nothing to justify our bitterness. For me, it created a disease, but ironically, it was the disease which released the bitterness from me. You see, forgiveness means that bitterness must be released, so don't wait for a deadly disease to do that for you. Instead, look for the gift left behind the demise so that you can use gratitude to release the toxic effect of bitterness. If you need a tip, try this.

Sit whomever or whatever you are bitter against in a chair, and be aware that he, she or it is there. Look your bitterness in the eye and say, "Thanks for giving me the experience." By saying, "Thank you," you are expressing gratitude, but if you'll look closely, you'll also see the word, "forgiveness," in that sentence. The two must be combined to find peace of mind.

It may be hard to say, but when you do, soon you'll find a forgiving mind, which leads to the release of toxic things that poison your life. The reason this is true is due to the next truth I'd like to share with you.

6. Thoughts become things.

It's just one of God's universal laws. We know the law of gravity is true because we have proof. The proof tells us it's true that what goes up must come
