There is no reason to stop writing just because you've become a mother. Quite the contrary. There are a lot of good reasons to keep writing, from conception throughout the life of your child. Having children can give you a ton of ideas to write about, as well as a way to relieve stress. They can lead you into a very lucrative niche market.

When you first find out that you're going to have a child, create a journal for yourself. Document all the changes that you and your body go through from the beginning to the end. It will give you something to reflect upon when you kids are older. It will also give you some ideas for articles as time goes by.

Your children can be a wealth of information on a variety of topics. If you have small children, you can write about ways to get stains out of clothing, or how to get your kids to eat their vegetables without hassle. For everything you go through with your kids, there is someone else out there who is looking for that information.

As your children get a little older, you'll find that you have more time to write as they go off to school. Plus, this will bring on a whole new set of writing ideas. You can write about ways to make the first day of school easier for both you and your child. You can talk about deciding on the right clothes for your child, or even whether or not to home school.

If you have teenaged children, you have a whole new world to write about. Raising teenagers in this day and age can be harder than raising small children. If you've got teenagers, you can write articles about how to talk to them about the difficult topics. Or you can write about how to help them mend a broken heart, or even how to help them buy their first car.

If you've got a teenaged son, you can write about how to talk to them about dating, how they should treat women, and even how to get your teenaged son to clean his room. You can even go through and write about the various sports that your sons has participated in, and write about the pros and cons of each sport. Does your son have an interesting talent or collection? You can use that as an idea for an article.

If you've got a teenaged daughter, you can write about ways to get your daughter to come out of her shell, or how to tone down her wild ways. You can write about how to come up with the perfect outfit on a budget, or how to tame her wild hair. You can write about make-up tips, fashion ideas, or just how to deal with boys. With teenaged girls, you not only have a huge list of ideas to write about, but you have a whole new reader base.

Just because you've brought a new life into your home, doesn't mean you've got to give up writing. All it means is that you've got a thousand and one new things to write about. Remember, for everything you learn as a parent, there is someone out there who needs that information. From the time you become pregnant, to the time you watch your child leave home, there is something for you to write about and share with those who are going through the same things.
