Six Travelers
Six Travelers,
Unknown before,
Alight beside the campfire,
On the desert open shore.
To share spiritlaughter,
Tales of our youth,
And dinnermessily consumed.
Shall we drink,
To our futures?
Burying our worries,
Beneath the sandfor a moment.
Finding hope,
That ferocious feline,
Stalking amidst,
The mountains that contain us.
Six travelers,
Tired from the day's journey,
And the work we had done,
Joined as a family,
Bonded by the miles,
We have come.
Sleepily sharing companionship,
A quietness from the heart,
Before retiring beneath,
A blanket of stars,
To be kissed by the wind,
As we dream.
Six travelers,
Trapped in a moment,
Becoming a memory,
Which finds this traveler,
No longer,
Standing outside the fire,
Merely wishing for its warmth.

the only thing that
YOU CAN'T FORGET
You hold your chin up,
higher than you should...
you have so much more pride,
than I ever could.
You walk so
Whisper wind, through the remaining chimes
distant, weak.
The house is peeling, like my skin
The sun is blaring, like my mind.
