Questioning belief

Uncertainty is that which can severely wound the heart and soul of a man. Many of us in our younger years of development go through numerous tides of change to conform to a sense of purpose or reason. The way I perceive this notion, in accordance with the mind of an individual, is that any man can believe whatever he wants to believe, let time run its coarse, for our days are numbered.

But there are few of us who KNOW...

For when one takes that original belief and seeks it out with all their heart and soul; the Lord causes that belief(corresponding to that of His word) to "grow into a blossom of knowing"; Henceforth, diminishing the cloud of uncertainty. For knowing is similar to love; you cannot explain "how and why" you love someone, you just know it through and through.

Belief is like an idea that can either produce a ripe fig or a rotten one; truth or falsehood. I think that for a man to question his belief is a wise move indeed; "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God... (James 1:5). For truth and falsehood surrounds us as the wind; The question is: "Which will we be carried off by."

I was raised into a belief that man should always watch his footsteps and consider his ways. And to this day that belief has led me to truth. We must always question our path in life; for corruption and deceit dwell among us watching and waiting, to catch a blind man in his ways...

I once wrote a poem on uncertainty and all the likes of it corresponding with the war of a man within himself. Maybe some of you can relate...

The Inner Weeping

Internal thoughts, a mind reminiscing;
My souls utterance, a venting spirit- the inner weeping.
Time, it seems, can be deceiving;
But the "here and now" gives life more meaning.
To live in it fills the void, and grief carries on with the wind;
As sorrows deplete and despair takes its leave.
This, my friend, is the relief; and joy awakens from its sleep.
Darkness turns to light as the sun rises over horizons of humanity.
That which is hidden becomes known; fear dissipates as thoughts become clear.
For we are not alone.
And truth reveals lies; reconnects lost ties, given to the wind.
The breath of a lost soul entangled in its sin.
Listen closely, for He is coming.
Can you hear the sound of the trumpet; the alarm of war?
The cries of our lost souls long for more?
The blessing and the curse of the inner being;
The war within; the inner weeping
