dad. Father's Day brings up many memories for dads. Share your favorite one with him. Did the two of you go somewhere special together? Did he help you change a tire in the rain? Did you head off for a game or a recital and get lost? Remind him of something sentimental or funny that the two of you shared. It will make his day.

"I'm glad you're my dad," is something else special you can say to your dad on Father's Day. Let him know that, despite the ups and the downs in a father/child relationship, you are happy to know he is your dad. Dads all have doubts. This simple sentence can help end those doubts for your father.

And, to all the wives and significant others to fathers - with just a few variations on these sayings will make them apply to you. Let him know that you are glad he is the father of those children you love so much. Share with him how he has been a good dad and that you respect him for that.

I realize these are not famous quotes historic or important people. They are thoughtful sayings that fathers should hear, need to hear, especially on Father's Day. Father's Day is meant to let dads know they are important and loved. Let them know this by opening up your heart and sharing what is in it with him. Memorizing a quote can be a good thing, but it is far better to speak from you heart.
