Testimonies: Christian

This testimony is nothing to knock ones shoes off with. The miracles are small if they are considered such at all. But it is a testimony that I believe every Christian needs to hear. It is what most every Christian faces through life. Its about having faith when things look hopeless in our everyday lives.

Growing up I was always lonely feeling. I blamed God! Not that he was the reason I was lonely but that he would not give me the right woman in my life. I blamed him for not ever helping me. One day I woke up and suddenly I had a different outlook. I realized that God has always been there for me and that I needed to look at how good the rest of my life was. I was no longer angry with God and I began having faith in him. A month later I met my future wife.

I have known my wife over four years and have been married to her for over three years now. She believes in God but she doesnt seem to have any faith in him. Yet I have complete faith in him now and he has proven to me over and over that he will take care of us.

When we were first together we lived in a crappy apartments. I was laid-off and she was two years removed from an abussive ex. Her daughter and youngest son lived with us. Her oldest son was in college. My unemployment was within one check from running out and though I was praying a lot, she finally prayed for me to get a job. The next day I got a call for an interview and was hired. The apartments had a lot of break-ins and one time someone had busted into the mail-boxes and stole everyones mail. Soon I realized I was hearing rats running through the walls and though I knew this I did not tell them in fear they would freak out. Unfortunately my wife soon heard it as well and I wasnt going to lie to her when she asked what it was. It was becoming desperate for us to get out of these apartments but she insisted we had to stay in the same school district because her kids had spent their whole lives in the same one and didnt want them to have to change so late. One day her daughter called us when we were out and said she was with a friend and they saw a house for rent. For the heck of it we decided to take a look at it. The owner was there, still remodelling it and showed it to us. Soon we moved into it. We also soon made the mistake of buying the house for more than what it was worth.

For almost three years we were in the house but I was again laid off twice more while we lived there and finally we were forced to file bankrupcy. The day we went to the lawyer
