POETRY IN THE DARK
violet sky has its secrets
we with open eyes
see them in undertones
of impending hour,
when the darkness comes
as lovers we'd rather
not recall;
but, covet the touch
of memory, and
the ensuing surge to silk.
brightest star, winking at me,
i do remember lust;
but, i'm all over like the sky,
too big and telling small stories ~
a constellation here a galaxy there,
with only stars to differentiate
the length of space between
desire and soul.
