box truck and a megaphone, or a pony and a snow cone machine. All the marketing stunts haven't been attempted, so get creative!
8. Hello blogger. The internet is a great place to create buzz for your business. There are several ways to utilize the web to get attention: from search engine optimization, to blogging, to Google ads, to affiliate sites. You can market very inexpensively with a little knowledge of the internet. Needless to say, get busy on the web!
9. Let the customer be part of the action. Threadless is a young emerging company that sells T-shirts over the web. Oh, by the way, they're generating $30 million in annual sales with no advertising. They're experiencing this extraordinary success through a new concept of user oriented product design. This amounts to basically offering limitless customization for the consumer. For Threadless it means the customers design their own shirts; for your company it may mean something else.
Think about your business and decide if there are ways to allow your customers to take a bigger role in customizing their order to fit their personal needs. Maybe this means more options, or less restrictive policies, or pure unbridled customer control. Again, think outside the box because this could turn out to be a very effective marketing opportunity.
10. Your website is key. This is probably not news to anyone; however it is imperative that your site is organized and easy to browse, which is contrary to many websites out there. An organized and well laid out website can generate huge revenues for a company. After you plaster your name everywhere, most people will check your website first, so make sure it does justice for your business.
Remember: your marketing capabilities are endless, so don't let the status quo decide your path.
