Poetry: Death of a loved one

by Madison Lang

Created on: June 07, 2008

He does not know
He can not see
He feels his life
Drain of meaning
She was ripped away
Far, far too soon
And he's at loss with out her
His life a somber hue
Mourning calls upon us
And death so often pries
Our life from deep with in us
Another sad goodbye
She no longer laughs
Music Stopped
It's done.
And again he sits and wonders
How to be an orphaned son.
Memories abound him.
Pictures he can not recall
Moments of his life
Thrown upon the wall
Birth and love and things
He never quite knew
Joy, love, and memories
Must now carry him through
Step by step he faces
Each day like the last
It's always just this way
When a life ends too fast.
