Supermans last battle - Mats Sundin, 37, Toronto Maple Leafs, has won everything but Stanley Cup!

He has done some major sacrifices during his hockey career. Mats Sundin has 13 NHL-seasons and most of his teeth invested in Toronto Maple Leafs. Sundin has gold medals from the World championships as well as the Olympic games with Swedens hockey team. The hockey veteran

from Stockholm is economically independent since several years and the best point scorer ever in his legendary hockeyclubs history! So Why is Mats Sundin, 37, still hungry and ambitious like a rookie? The answer: he refuses to quit before he has won the Stanley Cup title.

No other city in world has as many hockey fanatics as Toronto - and no team as many dedicated fans as Maple Leafs. Three local TV channels are covering the players every move on the ice. The overwhelming Air Canada Centers 18.800 seats are always crowded on every "sleepy" game of the groundseries to crucial battles in the play offs. Mats Sundin has been captain of the team for a decade. He was drafted in 1994 from the former Quebec Nordiques(Colorado Avalanche)with the explicit expectation that he would lead Toronto to a Stanley
Cup victory.The pursuit continues. The "Swede-team" Detroit Red Wings and Sundins friends from the Swedish Team in the last Canada Cup, Niclas Lidstrm(his 4th cup title), Henrik Zetterberg, Niklas Kronwall, Tomas Holmstrm, Alexander Steen and Johan Franzn conqured the
Stanley Cup-trophy in 2008. Maple Leafs havent won the play offs since 1967 but Mats Sundins part in the teams continuing failures to go all the way is marginal. Torontos Swedish captain has been their most reliable point scorer the last ten years. Only Jaromir Jagr and Teemu Selnne can compete with Sundin in efficiancy the past decade. - For me the Stanley Cup is the most important title of all. I have been in Toronto for 13 years. Many of our fans supported the Leafs back in 1967 and have waited for 40 years to see their heroes as winners in the finals again. I suppose I would chop one of my arms of if it could help to capture the trophy here in the Mecca of icehockey, says the scarred hockey veteran.
