I loved you as an infant,
Innocent and sweet.
I loved you as a toddler,
Wobbling on your feet.
I loved you as a two year old,
Terrible and all.
I loved you at age three,
Catching your first ball.
At age four I loved you,
And letting go was tough-
When Preschool time rolled round
I couldn't hug you just enough.
I loved you at age five,
When off to Big Boy School you went.
I'll tell you a little secret-
I cried till I was spent.
When you were six I loved you,
I told you it was so-
No-matter how mean I was,
When I told you "no."
And now you're seven,
Son of mine.
My love for you still grows,
I love you from your tangled hair,
All the way down to your toes.
And as you age,
Year after year
I hope you know this too-
Your mother's love will never end,
I promise this to you.

To write of you is a beauty left untouched

"The Promise"
What words do I write
To tell the world
What my child means to me
Without a pen in hand
I began to write
You're an angel in disguise
At least you are to me
You've turned our little home
Into a precious family
I know that there are
