Poetry: Unlock

Unlock yourself to me,
I need to know your secrets,
I need to know who you are,
More than one word could you speak to me.
I need to know who you are,
You smile but you say nothing,
You give but I feel like we're both empty,
Unlock yourself to me,
I want to see what lies behind the door you tend so well,
I wonder if it's merely me you are resigned around
Or is it others too,
Would you open the door inwards if I could only ask?
Or would you bolt it tighter,
I suppose it no longer matters now that I am gone,
Still I hunger to touch that wall again,
To peer inside that key hole,
If only for a brief moment,
If only for a single time,
Unlock yourself to me.
