In Flower Stand Tycoon, you purchase flowers and other merchandise at wholesale prices to sell them to customers for higher prices so that hopefully, you can make a profit. In order to be successful, you must understand market flows by reading the daily news which often contains information on whether consumers are likely to buy flowers on a given day. For example, a factor such as bad weather suggests that you should purchase less flowers because you will have a more difficult time selling your products.

Additionally, there are a variety of different types of flowers and consumers from different areas prefer different types of flowers. You may purchase several tools that can make the flower-vending business a little more successful. You can also buy items such as a radio that plays soothing music for customers or a calculator that makes calculating sales go a little bit faster.

This game also throws in an extra kick with competitors, other flower vendors that can mean trouble for your business! Fortunately, you can distribute flyers or several other promotional devices that can help ruin your competitors to protect your own business. The competitive aspect of this game truly distinguishes this game from other similar merchandising games that use a monopoly system throughout the entire game.

The graphics are two-dimensional, however, this should hardly be a detractor from playing the game. The gameplay alone makes up for the 2D graphics. More importantly, the graphics are anything but plain. Each town has a unique look to it. The game must have pictures that use a very high pixel count due to the immense details in the renderings of the game.

Flower Stand Tycoon is intense in the sense that you, a flower vendor, must fight for every dollar and every potential customer to maximize your profits. The game plays very calm tropical music which makes such an intense game very laidback. The music sounds like something you would like to hear while relaxing on the beach. In other words, the music is not something you would want on your ipod, but a pleasure to listen to, and it seems to really jive with this game.

To sum up, Flower Stand Tycoon puts the fun into complex economic situations. I do not give many games five stars, but this one is easily a 5/5!
