as another transition draws near
some lament for leaving the source
some happy for coming to the cause
rollicking with peace and beauty
doing everything with ease
looking forward to the day
when power would make them
rise like the phoenix from its ashes
for them to make a beeline for it
happy and being joyful
merry and celebrating
killing themselves just to get there
maiming to achieve their aim
carnaging to increase their age
oh sun and thou dost seeth this
the sun may smile
the sun may laugh
it may scorch
all meaning the same
things; it means
it sees you if no one else does
