Do you want to learn something about running a business or test your business skills without actually having to face the risk of losing any real money? Then, Flower Stand Tycoon is for you.
Flower Stand Tycoon is a game where you play either as a nephew or niece of your Uncle Pott who needs you help in helping to prevent his flower business from collapsing.
Playing this game was fun and easy. At beginning of the game, I was greeted by a beautiful drawn comic strip where Uncle Pott told me what needed to be done. After reading the comic, I had the choice of viewing or tutorial or going straight into playing the game. Once, I had entered a name, and chosen an avatar to represent myself, a colorful map showing the different sectors of a city was displayed. To get information on each sector, for example, the population, and the demand percentage for flowers, all I had to do was to clicked on it. Choosing a route is easy by clicking on a blue cycle.
Purchasing flowers was easy through the user-friendly screen where is each type of flower available is placed in various neatly arranged frames. I could easily increase or decrease the amount of each type of flower, and the price for each easily by clicking on the arrows. If you play on with the game, you will be more skillful in pricing and business planning.
Once I had enough flowers as shown the capacity indicator at the bottom of the screen, and had my stand ready, I clicked on a "Start the day" button which brought me to a screen with four images in four frames with superb color and animation. On the active screen, I could see people moving around, and buying flowers from my stand. It was like watching a small color TV. The proceeds collected was shown at the bottom of the active frame. If I tried to start my day without any flowers and/or without setting up my stand, the game would warn me. Once the day was completed, a new screen showing how well I did was displayed. On the same screen, I could read news that may affect or may not affect my business which I may had act on, and tips on how to be more successful.
To help me with the daily running of the business, I could get information on how well each type of flowers was selling, the condition of the business assets, how satisfied my customers were, and how well my competitors were doing in easy to read tabular forms. I could even watch the results in on a graph.
If you can afford, you can purchase another stand, and even hire a cashier to boost up your sales further.
The music and sound used in the game was very lively indeed. I enjoyed the background music while the animation showing the people buying flowers form me was playing. There was also a pop-up window for me to adjust the volume of the sound and the music. If you play this game, you will enjoy it as much as I did. Overall, I give a five out of five for it.
