The first Crusade to the Holy Lands took place between 1095 and 1099 AD. This was the first of many Holy Crusades', which, in reality took the form of modern day Genocide. In 1098 the Siege of Antioch took place with the Crusader forces sieging the city. Once inside, as was standard military practice at the time, the entire civilian population was put to the sword, the mosques were destroyed and the city was plundered. The next year, the siege of Jerusalem took place. Again the civilian population was brutally murdered, the mosques burnt and this time the city was totally destroyed.
Even during the first crusade which happened over a thousand years ago, suffering and death was commonplace, but in this age, the Church Leaders and the Pope dealt death as if they were drinking water. Over a period of four hundred years the Vatican Popes called for a total of fifteen crusades with hundreds of thousands of Muslim men, woman and children being put to the sword.
In the minds of the Muslims the Crusades were Western invasions motivated by the West's greed and hatred for Islam, while the Christian West thought they were reclaiming the Holy Land and stopping the spread of Islam.' [1]
So what did the Muslims do to the Christians and their churches when they re-captured the cities that were taken from them by the savage Crusaders? They did nothing, generally, they left their sworn enemies peoples alone. They left their churches alone, and they certainly did not massacre entire cities of people. I am saying that the Western Crusaders were a much more barbaric and savage people compared to the relatively peaceful Muslins peoples and it was the Pope(s) who resided in the Vatican who ordered the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent peoples.
Roger Bacon (1214 1297 AD) felt the Crusades were not effective because, "those who survive, together with their children, are more and more embittered against the Christian faith." [2]
So why did they do this, well the Koran teaches tolerance and love for your enemies, the Vatican taught it followers, intolerance and fear of the one true god. If you were a sinner and you did bad things then God would absolve your sins if you killed the Muslim Heretics in the Holy Lands.
"High ideals were besmirched by cruelty and greed...the Holy War was nothing more than a long act of intolerance in the name of God." [2]
Intolerance has been programmed into Western Society for the last 2000 years. It is the basis for the crusades, that the Heretics have
