Poetry: Passion

By Moonlight

The midnight maiden
dances over head
as we lay entwined
in this soft bed

do you think she knows
think she can see
why you shed clothes
to lay here with me?

would her cheeks
be as red as yours
if she could see us
now behind closed doors?

does she mind
use of her light
as we sing
into the night?

can she tell
I love you so
would she even
care to know?
