In that location you could experience pain, weakness or swelling. Some doctors are qualified on their own to diagnose a patient with lymphoma while others may refer you to a specialist. There are several tests you must go through including, but not limited to, a blood test and perhaps even a biopsy of the area where it is thought the lymphoma could be residing.
Remember that if you do get diagnosed with lymphoma do not fret. There are new and innovative ways, as well as traditional methods, to help delay the growth of or kill the lymphoma altogether. Some treatments for lymphoma include, but are certainly not limited to: 1. Stage I and II: radiotherapy This has been shown to cause remission for long periods of time and, in some cases, has cured the lymphoma completely. 2. Stage III and IV: High dose radiotherapy and chemotherapy The issue the medical community has with this kind of treatment however is that it tends to induce remission at a higher rate. 3. Bone Marrow transplant Though not available, it is being tested as a way to deal with lymphoma.
