Federal Law requires that credit agencies provide at least one free copy of your credit report to you each year. This site will provide you with your free annual report from the three biggest credit agencies: Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian.

"GET RICH QUICK" SCHEMES

The old saying is accurate: If it seems to be good to be true, it probably is. Trust your gut instinct on this one. There is no quick way to get rich. Stuffing envelopes, processing rebates, and peddling cleaning products most probably will not make you a millionaire within two months. If you're unsure whether a business is offering a legitimate earning opportunity, check out the company with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.com). One search on the BBB's website will tell you quickly whether the business you're searching has had previous problems.

Raising the cash you need may be a challenge, but it can be done. Before you consider the above items, consider other ways to increase your available cash. Beg, borrow (but don't steal) from family and friends. Sell anything and everything you have available. Try to reduce your monthly expenses. With a little hard work, and a lot of imagination, you may just be able to come up with the cash you need.
