Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a term we hear more and more these days. It is a condition that affects millions of people at an ever increasing rate.
The symptoms include muscle aches, memory loss (or Fog), tingly nerves and joint/tissue pain. Many scientists believe this disorder is caused by viral infections. But, at this late date, the jury is still out.
Some researchers have found a link to fungal infection, brought on by exposure to toxins produced by various forms of mold. Since fungi are everywhere, and exposures to toxins produced by them are on the increase, it is likely that they do play a part in the onset of CFS.
In most cases, pulmonary distress presents as a symptom as well. This is usually the result of airborne exposure to the toxins. Other symptoms include: irritable bowels, constipation or diarrhea, chills and night sweats, abdominal pain, chest pain, vision problems, hacking cough, shortness of breath, allergic responses, balance problems, inability to stand or sit for long periods, depression, mood swings, anxiety, and panic attacks.
When a patient presents with any of these combinations of symptoms, the first treatment is invariably antibiotics. The problem is, antibiotics kill friendly bacteria that are needed to fight against fungal attacks.
When a patient presents with pulmonary distress (shortness of breath, etc.) the treatment will be steroidal in nature. This will help to open up the lungs, and allow the toxins to vacate into the blood stream. Unfortunately, this presents a whole new set of problems for the body. Breathing gets easier but, the toxin that is now spreading into other parts of the body is doing more damage to vital systems such as the Nervous System. This will affect movement and relaxation.
That's where the RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) comes into play. Many well known researchers and nutritionists recommend a quick anti-fungal regimen, comprised of a good Multi-Vitamin/Multi-Mineral, Probiotics with Cranberry Seed Extract, Caprylic Acid, Olive Leaf Extract, Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic, and Psyllium. These components are all natural, and help to make your inner flora healthy, thereby preparing it to fight off the growing fungus.
It is very important to re-introduce friendly bacteria to your body. Our typical diets don't give us the amount of good bacteria we need to ward off fungal attacks. A healthy diet of fresh vegetables, flourless bread (or none at all), organic eggs, cold-pressed virgin coconut oil and olive oil, and certain fruits like green apples will help to starve the fungus in our bodies. This is important because fungi feed on glucose, which is produced by most of the foods we now consume.
Also, it is a good idea to limit the foods that contain yeast in our diets. Many cutting-edge physicians have now linked yeast to several forms of cancer. And as we all should know by now, yeast is a fungus.
In conclusion: Always get the advice of a doctor concerning any regimen you intend to take on. It's important to work closely with your physician, as they may have ideas to consider as well. Diet and exercise are extremely important to the health of our bodies. If traditional forms of exercise are too taxing, low-impact cardio and swimming is recommended. Finally, remember that Anti-fungal supplements are just as important for the immune system to function properly.
