Individuality for one thing, will always remain the same. The question should instead be: When did we lose our ability to unite in this country as a team? Americans are raised to focus on their own individuality. This is why it is so hard for most of us to unite. We focus on our own success, our own future, our own lives, and when it comes to the greater good, in all reality, most of us turn our heads. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to focus on bettering ourselves, I mean, of course, to the little boy in the ghetto or the little girl down the street, it is wonderful to have dreams of being a Doctor or a Lawyer, or nowadays even a blinking secretary like Erin Brokovich! :) But it is not those little kids of whom I'm speaking about. It is a different set of kids on the 'other' end of town who grow up to become money-grubbing politicians who's only goal is to be an individual and get to the top by trampling the heads of the rest of the population. I mean until we can't see, can't hear, can't walk, can't breath, can't fill up a flipping gas tank for anything less than $65.00, come on! "We the people." Does this mean anything to anyone anymore? Well, yes I'd say it does; we the people in congress, we the people who invest in oil stocks, we the people who can afford to build autoban systems and electric cars but choose to keep riding Americans deeper and deeper into the mud, we the people that can afford to give more to the healthcare and education systems in this country that couldn't care less, we the people who like to stay rich and get richer,...oh trust me, there definately is a "We the People" but it is not representative of the rest of the people in the United States, by far. And do these 'people' really really truly know how the rest of us really live? Not likely. In answer to this title, Have we lost our individuality? No. It is exactly the opposite. We have lost our ability to come together and put this country back to work. P.S. Can you find one item in your home that was not Made In China.? Probably not, but at least they get free healthcare over there. And in France, hmm, and Puerto Rico and Cuba....Canada....oh the list goes on and on. And this is for the poor or working class or rich. It doesn't matter. Well I think all it would take would be one day to not purchase gasoline, like I don't know, the 4th of July or something-do you know if all of us came together and didn't purchase gasoline for just one day...how big this
