Do you often despair about how to get this girl or that to notice you? Do you find yourself wondering why she only pays attention to that one guy you happen to hate? Well, maybe this is what you need: a guide to capturing a girl's heart. I know out of experience (I happen to be a girl myself!) that at least some girls - if not all - will be more interested in you after you use these tips.

1. DON'T PLAY GAMES ALL THE TIME! Games can be fun, but after a while they all get tiresome. Girls who are looking for a relationship, and more than just playful flirting, eventually give up if all you do is kid around with them. We don't like to be teased 24-7, if at all. Be serious occasionally!

2. COMPLIMENT HER! Only some of us girls fish for compliments. But we ALL love them. It can be anything from "I like your shoes" to "I adore the way your eyes shine". When you compliment a girl, it makes her feel special and noticed. And we all like to be around someone who makes us feel like that. Chances are, if you occasionally send a compliment her way, a girl will want more and more to be near you.

3. BE CHIVALROUS! Open doors, say "Ladies First", offer her your jacket if she's cold. Only extreme feminists don't like this. I know that I, for one, really look at a guy in a different (good) way when he does something nice like that. Just like compliments, chivalry makes girls feel special and noticed.

4. BE CONFIDENT, NOT ARROGANT! There IS a difference. Be assertive, and be yourself, but don't be cocky. We tire of constant jabbering about the amazing shot you made in basketball.

5. KNOW WHEN TO BE SERIOUS AND WHEN TO HAVE FUN! There is a time for serious talk and a time for jokes. Learn how to discern between the two. When we want to really talk deeply and all you do is laugh, it makes us mad and we don't want to be around you as much.

6. DO SOMETHING SWEET! Write a nice note, give her a big hug if she seems upset, smile and wave when you see her to let her know you are happy she's near. DON'T IGNORE HER.

7. GROOM YOURSELF! Girls look for guys who dress to impress and NOT the ones who walk around looking like they just rolled out of bed. Put something nice on for a change. Comb your hair, brush your teeth, be hygienic. It may seem obvious to some of you, but lots of guys actually really need to work on the way they present themselves.

8. LISTEN TO HER! And actually retain some information. Remember as much about her from what she tells you as you possible can. Bring up something she told you a while ago in casual conversation. She'll be flattered that you remembered.

These are some simple ways to impress a girl. She'd have to be crazy not to notice that you're doing all this. Take it from someone who knows. And good luck!
