I know that dad was never here;
He never called or shed a tear;
And sometimes you were all alone
On Valentine's or by the phone;
But you were strong and never showed
The painfulness of overload;
You took Jack fishing and coached for Kate,
You cleaned, you cooked, and learned to skate;
Thank you for being kind-hearted, sincere,
Happy father's day, mother dear.
