I wouldn't mind the dark
if it weren't so shady
all the demons lie in wait
you don't have to tell me, baby.
I wouldn't mind the dark
if it weren't that shade of pitch

Don't you moan
Got to keep my control.
'Cause when I lay me down
my shadow at a rest
I can face the darkest night
for my soul has passed this test.
