Seven Days With God

Long, long ago, in a far away land...actually, there was no land. There were no people, no animals, nothing. The only thing that existed was God. So He decided to make the heavens and the earth.

At first, the earth had no shape and there was nothing on it. It was completely dark, so dark that the water on earth looked black. So God said, "Let there be light." And guess what? The light came. It was a good light and God was pleased.

He decided to make the light be far away from the darkness. The light was called Day and the darkness was called Night. That's why you can't have Day and Night at the same time.

Now that there was Day and Night, Light and Darkness, the earth had its first morning and evening. When they passed, this was the First Day.

The next day, God decided to separate the waters in heaven from the waters on earth, because at first, they were all mixed together. So God made a space between heaven and earth to divide the waters. This space is what we call Sky. All of this happened on the Second Day.

At first, the water on earth covered all the land, so God told the waters beneath the sky to all go into one place, so that some of the land could be dry. He called the dry ground Land and the area full of water Sea.

God liked what He saw and decided to do more. He told the land to grow things, like plants that have seeds inside them and trees that have fruit with seeds inside them. That way, the plants could keep growing and more plants could come from the seeds that were in them. And that is what happened. The land was full of plants and trees with fruits and seeds.

All of this happened on the Third Day.

The next day, God decided to make more lights. He put more lights in the sky that would only show at night. This way, it would be easier to tell when it was Night and when it was Day, because you can't see the most of the stars during the Day. The stars were also good because they could be used to count seasons, days, and years.

But there were two new lights in the sky that were the most important: the Moon and the Sun. God made the Moon in charge of the Night and the Sun in charge of the Day. The sun was so big and bright that you could see it during the Day. And the Moon was good for showing a little bit of light during the Night. So when you see the Sun, you know it is daytime, and when you see the Moon and Stars you know that it is nighttime.

All of this happened on the Fourth Day.

The next day, God looked at the sky and the waters and saw
