My first experience with the iPhone was amazing. For a PDA (as most personal digital assistants) are known, I found it to be extremely user friendly. It's a touch screen phone that has a very sensitive screen. You can make the fonts bigger or smaller by simply using your thumb and forefinger to stretch or minimize the screen. For those who have used other PDAs this is really cool. The full web browser gives you the mini computer experience. For those who have had several voice messages and wished they could get to a particular one, the Iphone has the answer. Visual voice mail allows one to scroll up and down on the voice messages and choose the ones to listen to. This has been an invaluable feature to many a busy customer.
I could go on forever about the iPhone. Text messaging on the Iphone is great. One can see conversations on both sent and received messages. It can be mounted for ease of use plus its blue tooth compatible. Apple initially launched the first ones to be used exclusively on the AT&T network. They had a 4 gigabyte and 8 gigabyte storage capacities, while the second launch introduced the Iphone with 16 gigabytes. The only complaint most users had was that it did not operate on the 3g or the high speed network. The ipod feature works great and with upto 16 gigabytes of memory you can downloads lots of song, videos and movies. When you buy it at the store location the your Iphone will not be activated. You have to go home and activate it through itunes. The set up is a breeze and any one who is computer literate will be able to activate one.
From the look of things Apple has decided to launch a new version which is going to be slimmer. It should also satisfy the customer who wants their Iphone to be faster when. I can just imagine how much better the 3g Iphone is going to be. For those who are intimidated by PDA phones but would like to access the Internet on their phones, this is definitely the toy for them. The full QWERTY key board pops up when the field one intends to type in is touched. The Iphone has WIFI integrated which is an awesome feature to ensure Internet access anywhere AT&T has service.
Verizon wirelees has come up with an LG Voyager that has the touch screen functionality. It has both the interactive touch screen and a full Qwerty key board. At first glance you'd think you were looking at an Iphone except that this particular device is carried exclusively on the Verizon network. It features music, TV and video plus a full
