Whether you are flying into Savannah or driving straight to your resort, Hilton Head has everything you could possibly want for a three day fun vacation. There are family options but it is also a great place for singles or seniors. Resorts, timeshares and discount motels abound. Whatever your budget, you will find the perfect place to stay.
A good way to start your visit is to take a three hour trolley tour of the island. This will give you a good idea where everything is, the history and lots of little know facts. Time is allowed for a bit of shopping as well so even the teens will be entertained.
Hilton head is all about the beach and water sports. With twelve miles of hard packed sand there is plenty of room for a leisurely bike ride, a jog or to fly a kite. Don't worry if you didn't bring yours, there are lots of places to rent them. You can pedal your way all over the island not just the beach. There are miles of bike trails to keep the whole family in sync. If you prefer the more romantic approach horseback riding on the beach is also available.
The tidal waters are perfect for kayaking and if deep sea fishing is your pleasure then some of the best fishing on the east coast is just a few minutes trawl away. Hilton head is a golfer's paradise. Golf digest has listed it as number 10 on its list of world's best golf resorts. That tells you something about the quality and quantity of the golf. For the tennis fan there are over 100 courts available at the 5 tennis centers.
If you want to grab a beach chair and just enjoy the sun there are many places to do just that. With beaches everywhere it won't be hard to find a little bit of paradise for yourself.
If you are much more of a Tanger Outlet fan, Hilton Head has the perfect place for you and every other shopaholic to spend at least an afternoon in some retail therapy. With 85 name brand stores there are enough bargains to keep everyone satisfied.
After a hard day at the beach, mall, golf course or biking the island, a relaxing massage or spa treatment will set the whole world to right. Day spas are plentiful and most major resorts offer their own therapeutic treatments.
When it comes to dining, there are an abundance of options. With the Atlantic surrounding you, seafood is king. Whether you crave the blue crabs, the oysters or the shrimp you can't make a wrong choice. It isn't all about the seafood however, there are restaurants serving the cuisines of the world in Hilton Head, it is a veritable United Nations of flavors.
Hilton Head has so many things to offer that it will be hard to limit yourself to only three days but you certainly will be able to fill three days to overflowing with fun and relaxing things to do.
