"Reason is the enemy of faith".....Martin Luther

Considering the religious wars throughout the centuries, up to and including today, the persecution of others "by" religions, religious intolerance towards human reason and intellect, and the misery created by religious dogma, I think it is time that reasoned, rational individuals who do not believe in the supernatural in any form, should become truly "intolerant" of all religions, not just Islam.

It is time for rational people to put their foot down and tell religionists that we are through being fodder for their wars and terrorism. We are though being subjected to their insane belief's and dogma. We are through being tolerant of their desire to legislate their religious beliefs to force others to adhere to their beliefs.

It is time to say, that those who abandon their reason to faith, are exhibiting symptoms of mental illness. If I, reported that I believed in ghosts, demons, prayed to supernatural, invisible beings who told me to convert others to believe in "revealed" rules and laws, and if others did not adhere to these "revealed" rules and laws then it was sanctioned by these invisible supernatural beings to kill others, I would be deemed irrational and dangerous.

Why is it when Christianity, or Muslims, or other religions say the same thing, do we, as reasonable human beings, quietly sit by and let these religions kill millions in the name of religion? Why do we not stand up and say, "hey, this is insane"! "These actions are insane"!
"Those who chose to believe in these dogma's are insane?"

Why do we not confront these religions and allow them to continue to convert and brainwash our fellow citizens and children?

Yes, religions have been around almost as long as humans, but so have other beliefs that we have proved unreasonable. Yet, in the media of any type, I fail to see anybody rebutting these age old prejudices and dogmas.

Benjamin Franklin said, "The way to see by Faith is to shut the Eye of Reason."

"Once the people begin to reason, all is lost", Voltaire.

Religions, of all denominations, have been enemies of reason and rationality. Throughout the Dark Ages, they terrorized and killed thinkers. It wasn't until the 1950's that the blue laws, which were Christian dogma legalized, that the Supreme Court finally started striking them down as unconstitutional.

Rather than being concerned of religious intolerance of a specific religion, I think it is time that we humans, who have chosen to live our lives via reason and rationality, to become intolerant of "any" religion; their beliefs, their wars and their attempts to legislate their religious myths.
