Trinity of One
Seedling joined,
He, she, and you
Evolved
Multiplied a billion times
To become from two
A single you.
Three generations hence
He dies away,
Once sweaty, writhing
Wriggling with glee
As when with her
he made the you
the very one you see.
Anon, she follows in his path
A broken heart
No longer beating for the he
That with her love -
That let him do
What it would take
To make a little you.
Now both are gone
To breathless dust
Cold clay, dried bones,
Dead sightless stare
Beneath the lids
All unaware
That you live on
With parts of him
And parts of her
The best of each
To make a perfect you.
The flesh and bones
have gone their way-
The blood the tissue, too;
Yet memories may linger on
Reminding only you
That they remain
And wait within
That when your life is done,
Together,
all you three will be
a Trinity of One.

Whatever we do, we do together.
We rise, we fall, we laugh, we frown.
And it doesn't really matter whether,
