What magic awakens me from such slumber?
Awakened to both remembered and forgotten dreams:
Suspended beings between two states:
Asleep and awake; alive and not
A poet's gifts and curses both lie with words
A day in my life lies beyond these words
We are as oysters - soft on the inside,
Surrounded by a rock hard dead shell.
Promethean strength brought fire to this race
We were not prepared for this mighty gift
Would I awaken to a level beyond this plane
To marvel at both the gifts and curses from on high
Blessed magic might strike me once or more today,
To stir the higher realms within my consciousness
Might I awaken to remembered or forgotten dreams,
Or face the Promethean struggle this new day?

I'm a mother of three, yet I tend

A day in my life
A sky of often-grey
A never-lifting cloud
An endless fall of rain
A bout of shining sun
Playing peek-a-boo
