If I could go back in time before the first kiss
I'd give it all back cause it's you that I miss.
I miss how it felt to have a true friend,
someone to share with when life takes a bend,
the person who listens and shares as they will,
a friendship like yours is sure hard to fill.
I dream no more of the physical touch,
but I dream of us talking which I miss so much
the stories of laughter, the stories of tears,
the stories of how we got through the years.
I'll never forget the chats that we had,
you're deep in my heart and for that I am glad.
But each day that goes by with you so far away
I think of our friendship and then I just pray.
I pray that you're happy the rest of your life
I pray that you never experience strife
I hope you remember the friendship we had
And deep in your heart I hope you are glad.
Losing a lover is pain that's for sure
but nothing like losing a friendship so pure.
for you were my shoulder and I think I was yours
Now there's no one to talk to, just closed solid doors.
You've shut me out like a stranger at night
Wasn't our friendship worth a great fight?
I understand we crossed a huge line
And never in life will you ever be mine
But I don't want to lose the friendship we knew
And I hope in your mind neither do you.

If I Could
Somewhere on a different road,
through a chance passing of fate,
a summer flash came to me,
but on silver wings
If I could fly high up in the sky
I think of things I'd like to try
To make a rain from high above
That showered down joy and

If I could, I would, I surely would try
Into this life I delve, before I must die
Not knowing that I can, I understand

If I could, little one,
I would enfold you with sunshine
If I could
I would create joy in a cup
and fill you up
every morning
If
If I could, I would make the world easier for you.
I would harness its violence and tame its hatred.
I would ask the face
