Gifts that a wife gives to her husband on Father's Day are just as individual as every couple's relationship towards each other. It is sometimes difficult to decide exactly which gift to get for a man but if you put your mind to it and you will be surprised at the choices of gifts available in the market for men.
A good starting point is to use his personality and character as a yardstick. If he enjoys wearing good clothes then go straight to a store where he enjoys buying his clothes from. A shirt and tie set in a colour combination that he likes, or a set of handkerchiefs, some underwear or socks would be good bets. A good set of cufflinks or a tie pin would also be good fashion accessory for him to have if he wears them.
For the man who enjoys a bit of bling, the jewellers is the next stop. If you can afford it pick him a classy chain or a watch that reflects his taste. As jewellery and watches are expensive items do keep the receipt in case you need to return the item for something else that he would have preferred (it can happen!).
If your husband loves checking out new gadgets, keep an eye open for any new technological items that might interest him. One popular gadget that comes to mind is D. Kawashimo's brain training on Nintendo DS. Most men would love something like that to keep them occupied during train journeys for instance and there are always new games that are being introduced in the market on the Nintendo so keep an eye out for them.
Depending on what his music taste is like, why not buy a CD for him to listen to. Similarly, there are DVDs that you can buy for him if there is a particular film that he has expressed a desire to acquire. The Godfather set of DVDs comes to mind which is the whole set of all the Godfather series. There are many other boxed sets that are available and it is a matter of buying what will most reflect his taste in films.
Toiletries also come to mind as good gift ideas. There are lots of new eau de toilettes and perfumes for men and if you are sure of his taste there is no reason why you cannot go ahead and buy them for him. These are sold individually or as sets of shower gels and deodorants. There are other items like electric razors or manicure sets and other electrical equipment that he might need on a day to day basis.
Most men love to read and a good book is always a good buy. Depending on your man's taste in subjects there is a whole world of books to choose from. Whether it is a biography or a book on religion the choice is endless. If sports interest him then buy him something related to the team he supports, whether it is a T shirt or a book on his favourite player. A keen sportsman might prefer a golf club or a football, you decide depending on his preference.
Let us not forget a night out at a theatre production of his choice or a movie and dinner afterwards. This would be the best ending for a great Father's day where all the family can have an outing together if they so desire. Why not book a surprise for him if you know his schedule, take the family for a day trip to France or to animal sanctuary if he loves animals. The children will love the outing too with their dad.
If none of the above appeals just give him a beautiful bunch of flowers and a nice box of chocolates. Accompanied with a meaningful, well versed card, this would be just perfect.
