Canadian Hunter Whiskey and Diet Coke, or as my buddies and I fondly refer to it,
Two Dogs and Diet.

We prefer to drink it made with a 5 second pour over ice and just top it off with the diet coke. Two Dogs tends to be a little sweeter than some other whiskeys so the diet coke seems to counter the sweetness. But it goes down nice.

Two Dogs, you ask? Check out the label the next time you are in the liquor store. There is a Canadian Hunter and his two Huskies right there on the bottle. But beware of the puppies. They can play a little rough at times if you are not prepared. Don't confuse them with Canadian Mist, they hate that!

Sometimes we are just in the mood to pet the puppies and other times it is getting down and dirty. It's a great summer time drink, and most bars will carry Two Dogs. If they don't then request that they start stocking it. At 16.00 dollars for a 1.5 liter, it is cheaper than most whiskeys. This will make the bar owner happy as well as yourself.

Watch out for the dogs though, they go down so smoothly that they might sneak up on you. Like I said, "They like to play rough at times". Start out slowly; just take them out for a walk. Get to know them. See how they act. Once you have developed a repore with them then exercise them all you want. After you bond, they will be kinder to you.

If you like fruity drinks then Two Dogs is not for you. You better order one of those drinks with an umbrella in it. The dogs need someone who can keep up with them if they decide to get playful. They love the attention. They are easy to take care of too. And you never have to feed them or clean up after them.

You may choose to pour them over ice only, just remember you are playing with the big dogs now. So if you can't handle it, you better stay on the porch. Otherwise, they might bite you the next morning.

I can honestly say I have never had a hangover after playing with the puppies. They are sweet yet frisky. They are smooth and go down easy. Once you get attached you might not ever want any other pets. They are great at parties too. I can't always say they are well behaved but usually everyone likes them.

Enjoy Two Dogs and Diet at your favorite watering hole or just relax at home with friends. But remember; never take the puppies for a ride in the car. Always drink responsibly. Don't drink and drive.

This may be the most twisted article I have ever written for Helium, but it was fun even though it was a little out in left field. Enjoy and be safe.
