Poetry: AIDS

by Delina Cook

Created on: June 03, 2008

O sweet child of A.I.D.S.

O how I feel for you

Your innocence denied

Fun but a memory replaced by pain

You sweet, sweet child

How cruel to face death so young

To be robbed of a life of promise

O how my heart hurts for you

I question my faith my belief's

While I pray for a cure for such a cruel disease

Questions of why God? why?

Plague my sanity

While child after child succumbs to this insidious disease

Hush listen to the cries

Do you hear it?

The heartbreak for the loss of such a sweet innocent life!
