Faith, Hope and Charity,
three friends of mine.
Faith, Hope and Charity,
you've been there all the time.
When life was unpredicted
did waiver all the fear,
it was Faith, Hope and Charity
that dried the sorrowed tears.
I remember not knowing who they were
lost in path and twisted trails.
Aprils' dock gave meaning to all the rain
that blossomed with petal sails.
Faith, Hope and Charity,
such a spring of gathered wealth.
Faith, Hope and Charity,
reflections of our health.
To think the summer winds die down
and to place them on a string,
knot them tight upon a kite
as to see what life can bring, for
Faith, Hope and Charity,
without you, I am stand still.
Faith, Hope and Charity
together a working will.
Faith, Hope and Charity,
as the fall brings leafless trees
it is Faith, Hope and Charity
that brings happy Thanksgivings.
And the blanket of snow in haze
with the whisper of each flake
and to believe that life continues on
though the cold and frosty days, it is
Faith, Hope and Charity
with crowns of gold and bronze.
Faith, Hope and Charity,
most mindful to look upon.
When the cycle has come full circle
with the seasons joined at ends,
throughout the year what have we learned so well
who are allies and who's our friends?
Faith, Hope and Charity,
with patience you arrived, as
Faith, Hope and Charity,
with you I feel alive.
