Looking for something different to do next weekend besides doing the same old thing? Try something exciting and fun by getting away for a three day weekend at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a family weekend, a girl's weekend away, or a golfing weekend with the guys, Myrtle Beach South Carolina has it all.

Beaches

With over 60 miles of beautiful sugary-white sandy beaches to choose from there is enough beach enjoyment to be had for everyone. Have some fun in the sun! The Grand Strand beaches are absolutely gorgeous and offer every activity under the sun. From swimming, to tanning to shell collecting, to building sandcastles, you can be sure you will love a day, a morning, or a romantic stroll along the beach at night. Play volleyball, go parasailing, try scuba diving and explore the colorful underwater sea life. For adventure seekers there's canoeing and kayaking, and jet skiing, and power boating.

Golfing

Spend a morning or an entire day golfing on any one of the 100 Championship golf courses in Myrtle Beach. Whether you desire a fast game before heading off to the beach for the day, to a serious game played on a championship course, Myrtle Beach offers it all. The courses in Myrtle Beach are challenging and aesthetically beautiful created by the masters such as Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.

Activities

Take the kids go-cart racing at the Myrtle Beach Grand Prix Family Thrill Park. Try a thrilling, breathtaking coaster ride at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion. For people who don't take golf seriously try your hand at any of the area's 46 fun-themed courses for the entire family or for a romantic evening out. For animal lovers, learn all about tigers and other wild animals at T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Preserve. They actually let you feed baby tigers and there are many hands on exhibits. Spend several hours or take the family for the day to Myrtle Waves Water Park for an adventurous romp through various water slides, and every water activity imaginable.

Shopping

So much shopping, so little time! Whether you are planning a shopping weekend or a weekend getaway to the Grand Strand you have to pick up some trinkets to take home. There are numerous shopping areas here such as several shopping malls, factory outlet malls, specialty shops, and flea markets. Walk barefoot through the many stores in South Central and North Myrtle Beach. You can visit the other many stores on the Grand Strand, but bring comfortable shoes, because there are a lot of them. Each town in the area has it's own unique shopping experience; it just depends on what you are looking for.

Events

It's a long weekend of fun starting June 5 and ending on June 9, Myrtle Beach hosts a celebration of summer. Everything is covered here from fun kids activities, to sand castle building to every kind of music imaginable from jazz, to a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, to country music. There's even a jet skiing racing competition. This 5-day event takes place along the Grand Strand. On Labor Day Weekend, will be the Beach, Boogie and Barbecue. All kinds of fun music will be provided, with great barbecue food, kids activities, live music and a barbecue competition.
