"My Mistake"
My mistake was listening to others rather than my heart
I allowed their opinions to tear us far apart
In the beginning I was right
You truly were my armored knight
And even now my mistake shows more than ever
Because I fear I have lost you for longer than forever
No longer am I protected, my knight
By your wisdom and your love
No longer will I hear your voice
Just as soft as the wing of a dove
I am now only aware of my tears
And my long lost armored knight
For my only mistake was losing your love
Rather than doing what I knew was right.
