Final Surrender Pt. VII

Jack hurried through her dinner and the dishes so she could get back to talking to Aiden on the phone. She felt all wrong when she wasn't talking to him, because she couldn't smile like she had when she was on the phone with him.

"That didn't take very long," Aiden said when Jack called him back.

"What can I say? I can't stay away too long," Jack laughed to him.

"Well Now, that could be taken as either a good or bad thing."

"Which do you take it as?" Jack asked him, cocking her head to once side like she so frequently did.

"Um, let me think about that one A good thing, duh, silly," Aiden said, chuckling to himself.

"Oh, well then I guess I should feel a bit honored, then. I mean, it's not every day that a freshman gets that kind of compliment from a senior It's rather odd, if you ask me," Jack said, smiling.

"Well, remind me not to ask you, then."

They laughed again and Jack suddenly though about how strange it was that they connected with each other so quickly.

"Dang it, I missed," Aiden said suddenly, after about a minute of silence.

Jackson tried hard not to bust out laughing. "I'm keeping my mouth shut, now."

"Not for long," Aiden said, laughing.

"Haha, you just want to get me with my mouth open, don't you, Aiden?"

"Yeah, I may just kiss you."

Jackson went completely silent. What was she to say to that? What should her response be? Not only had a guy never rendered her speechless, but she was hardly ever speechless in her life!

"Are you still here?" Aiden asked her, seeming to be smiling on the other end of the line.

"Oh, yeah. I'm here... Sorry," Jack said, blushing to herself. She felt like a total idiot now, having gone completely silent because of a few words that were spoken to her.

"Alright," came Aiden's response to her. He chuckled on the other end of the phone. "Well, I guess I know how to get you to go quiet then, don't I?"

Jack laughed out loud this time and said to him, "You know what, Aiden?! You can just..."

"What, huh? I can just what?" Aiden teased, obviously smiling.

"Bite me!"

"Where and how hard?" Jack blushed. She thought quickly, wanting to tease Aiden about as much as he was her.

"Come here, and I'll show you," she said, smiling deviously.

It was Aiden's turn to go silent. Jack smiled in her triumph and quickly spoke to Aiden, not wanting his silence to go unspoken of. "What, cat got your tongue?"

"Apparently, you do," he said, and laughed
