However the fashion is accepted in Hollywood, the French Riviera, Rome, Paris, London, New York, Chicago... Milwaukee? Yeah right...
I love Milwaukee. However fashion dressing and Milwaukee are a real contradiction of terms in the same sentence. A creative writing teacher would take off a few points on the styling part of the grading...
Well, when we tried to buy a plane ticked in Vienna to fly to our new home in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the travel agent did not even find the air port in their directory. Milwaukee Wisconsin was showing as having only a local airport not suitable for the big 707s at that time. We did not really panic, because we had to stop over in New York first any way, so we imagined that we should be able to find a flight from there. Our sponsors told us that there was an airport in Milwaukee and it was quite big with a lot of daily flights of normal size planes, even 707s...
We landed here just in the middle of the big storm on 1979, and we thought that it was a very good idea to wear our furry boots, because there was a lot of snow, and it was quite cold at that time. We did not have a car and we had to use public transportation and to walk a lot.
Now, the furry boots... They were Italian made and my wife's were knee tall with the outside made of long goat fur. Mine, were shorter, and were covered in shorter elk fur. They were Italian made and the brand name was Tecknika. They were very popular in Europe at that particular time and every one living up in the snowy mountains or going on the sky slopes had to have a pair to walk around. It seemed that they were a condition for being allowed to walk outdoor there... And to tell you the truth they were very warm and comfortable to wear in Milwaukee in the middle of that snowy and cold winter. We loved them a lot. Well, it looked like
